What a pain. Are they hard or soft contacts?

I wear Night-And-Days, which are super-soft and super-permeable. They only come out once a month, and I love them...sometimes they hurt a bit when they first go in, but mostly I don't even remember they're there. And the only time I've ever lost one was when an ocean wave hit me in the eye.
