Mac help

My mac has a built in microphone. I thought I'd record myself singing and post it for fun. But, like an idiot, I deleted Garage Band (I wanted to know if I could get rid of applications that came with the computer). I thought it was a game and surely I'd never use it. Adam now tells me it's the basic recording application. I went to the Mac site and tried to down load it, but my computer tells me it can't find the appropriate application.

Can anyone help me get it back? I already emptied the trash a few days ago, so it's not recoverable from there.

Silly me.

Maybe a trip to the Mac store would be fruitful? *has no Mac knowledge to speak of*

;x uh oh. Garage Band is totally awesome. You can even create beats and record over them. You must get it back...pornot!

I use Disk Warrior (http://www.alsoft.com/DiskWarrior/) and I've heard good things of Data Rescue II (http://www.prosofteng.com/products/data_rescue.php).

Does it say which file is missing?

Is it included in your system restore discs? If not, call Apple Care while you're still under warranty and ask them about it. Hopefully they won't try to make you buy iLife. Tell them you accidentally deleted it, not that you did it thinking it was a game. :P

You should have the disks, I have an old copy; but I am sure yours is newer. I can help if you have no luck.
