Chorizo- I once knew a Salvadoran man who claimed that chorizo is a vegetable. It's Mexican sausage.
When I was pregnant and we were in Mexico we spent a lot of time eating at this little corner shop that made sandwiches with everything in them. I was OBVIOUSLY pregnant- how else would I have craved a pork, chorizo, pineapple, cotija, crema, and cabbage sandwich every day? Ugh, I do NOT eat like that.
