I don't think it's just a matter of it being a racial issue, though. A lot of it has to do with the fact that the economy is in shambles, the unemployment rate is sky high, and professional sports players are being paid multi-million dollar salaries and then acting like it's the most important news of the year that they're moving teams, not moving teams, retiring, etc. The drama of Bret Favre retiring (is he really? is he going to stay retired? OMG I CARE SO MUCH!) pisses me off as much or more. Big fat WAH! A rich sports dude is retiring and everyone is so sad. I wonder how sad they are when people who actually help them, like cops and teachers, retire?
