I did it.

It is completed. I decided to quit dithering and put the damned application in the mail. Please, god, let me have caught all typos. My saboteur brain likes to whisper "What if you forgot a page? What if it gets there in a mess? Are you sure you didn't miss anything?" If I have, so be it. I walked the packet to the post office and dropped it in the blue bin. It feels so good to have that out and off my list of things to do. Plans for the fall can only come together once I hear back one way or the other. University of Wales - here I come!

My stomach is all woozy from the butterflies.

So. Very. Jealous.

And I'm sure everything is fine. Really.

Thanks. I'm sure everything's fine too. And it's out there now - way out of my control! I think everything's going to go my way, but I just can't be certain until I get the Letter.

Yay! Good for you! It's a big step. Turning mine in gave me all kinds of heart palpitations and sweaty palms. :-) But it's done! And that does feel good.

Fingers crossed

HUGE relief to be done. It's one less thing dangling like a chad in the back of my brain. Now I just wait a month or so. I'm really nervous that I didn't talk enough about methodology and theory, but oh well now. I'm hoping that because admissions are rolling it won't take more than a month or so to hear back. Here's hoping.

Ack. I'm glad I've got yoga this evening, as well as a date with the Future Governor of Alaska to go drink wine afterwards. Healthy distractions, all.

You're a shoe in!

[identity profile] ewigweibliche.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
I hope so! I also think so too, but there's always the chance that I didn't answer one of those damned questions with enough detail or the school is all full up for the year, etc.

Bah. Vamos a ver, no?

ps - Did you get shagged good last night?

I will indeed keep you posted. Although there's no cause for celebration - yet.

Ripping the bandaid

That is so appropriate!

it's a favorite phrase of mine to get myself through doing something that is really hard for me. sometimes it really does feel like ripping an emotional bandaid.

Woo hoo!

Congratulations! Good luck with the woozy butterflies, but no problem. Wales would be lucky to have ya.
