TV

It's a slow day/week/month at work. While reading Tim Goodman, the SF Chronicle's awesome tv columnist (the only good thing about that paper), I came across an entry from last week that referenced this. Basically, Joss Whedon is set to do another series with FOX as soon as possible. YAY! Except, the star is Eliza Dushku, who in my opinion cannot act to save her life. And she played Faith in BtVS, one of my least favorite characters. Actually, the character may have been fine but I despise Ms. Dushku, and am now quite pouty that the next Joss show is already ruined for me.

i don't hate eliza the way you do, but i've always thought she was a rather blah actress. imo any good stuff about faith was due more to good casting then good acting. it concerns me for the new show because the premise is very interesting, but it will require a really amazing actress and i just don't think she's capable of pulling it off as well as it deserves. (nevermind the part of the me that desperately wants a job in the new show.:)

I don't think Eliza's an extraordinary actress, but I do find her watchable and I think Joss will get a lot out of her. But then, I liked Faith too.

I'm just skeptical about ANOTHER Fox show for Joss. Regardless of Eliza's acting or lack thereof, I kind of doubt the show will last an entire season.
