It's a slow day/week/month at work. While reading Tim Goodman, the SF Chronicle's awesome tv columnist (the only good thing about that paper), I came across an entry from last week that referenced this. Basically, Joss Whedon is set to do another series with FOX as soon as possible. YAY! Except, the star is Eliza Dushku, who in my opinion cannot act to save her life. And she played Faith in BtVS, one of my least favorite characters. Actually, the character may have been fine but I despise Ms. Dushku, and am now quite pouty that the next Joss show is already ruined for me.

I so agree! Anything likable about Faith was the character creation, not great acting. I also think the premise of the new show is weird, in that "if it's good it'll be great, if it's bad, it'll be terrible" sort of way. And Eliza..... enh. You should definitely get cast in it. Maybe Eliza will suffer an unfortunate, but not disfiguring mishap, and Joss will feel compelled to cast you instead.

Or maybe you'll get cast along side her and develop your own cult following. I vote for this option!

well i have faith in joss to set things up a little better than explained in the press release, but casting and tone are going to be so very important.

that's my favorite option as well. really i don't want to be "echo" i just want to pull a jm or emma caulfield.... come in for a small part and do such a great job creating a cool character that you stick around for years.
