I've put in a couple weeks of repairs and purging, and I can say that living in the same place for nearly-20 years leads to all kinds of accretions (those last few things that you don't get rid of each time you purge add up over time).

And then there are all the artifacts of "the way we lived X years ago" or "the promise I made to myself that I'd get back to this hobby some day".

SO useful to deal with all of it.
