theatokos | (no subject)

I'm feeling quite internal lately. No desire to post. I am checking in, though. I have some large posts brewing on Bennett and on theological matters. Bennett is growing in leaps and bounds. On Sunday Nigel Cat brought a live bird into the house. That was exciting. He now wears a bell round his neck. We are absorbed with World Cup fever. Summer is beyond delicious here. We need garden chairs. Pronto. I have formally submitted my complaint to the University. I may post my letter later. Adam leaves for California in mid July. I'm a little envious of him getting to see a few friends and eat certain kinds of food.

There are a couple of other things to blurb about but I'll save them for a locked post later.

Just wanted to say: hiya. Not dead. Just simmering on the back burner.

How long will you be solo-parenting?

Two weeks!! Thankfully, I'll have some semblance of order:
Monday and Friday mornings 8.30-12.30 at Gwdihws, the *awesome* daycare here. So I'll have some time to study.
Tues, Wed, Thurs mornings 10.30 - 12 at the Family Centre.
Afternoons will be chores, cartoons, walks, errands, etc.

Evenings and dinners though - this is where I am going to be BORED. He's cute and all, but he's not much of a conversationalist. I'm a little nervous about falling back onto too much cartoons. Maybe podcasts could be the way forward?

If you're looking for something fun you can share with B that's low-energy for the end of the day, besides reading books together, we're big fans of Youtube videos here. My kids are both fond of "They're taking the hobbits to Isengard."
