I hadn't even thought about cloth diapering until I read about it on LJ. It seemed outmoded and impractical, what with pins and leaking and all.... except that's not how it is anymore! There's this whole world of cloth diapers that are super durable, really cute and very easy to use! Some people claim that it's completely a better environmental choice - and in general yes, but not necessarily (for example, if you live in a drought stricken area, the extra water needed for all that washing and soaking might not balance out the extra waste in a landfill). But I like that I won't have to purchase extra diapers for future kids (HUGE money saver)- and by buying all one size diapers, I can have a relatively small stash, consuming even less. PLUS, instead of my money going to petrochemical companies it's going to independent entrepreneurs, mainly work at home moms. This last point makes me extra happy.

And did I mention, cloth diapers are cute?
