My last morning
Mar. 27th, 2004 11:02 amI leave this great state in just a few hours. I've had such a great trip, short, relatively uneventful. But, I got to see good friends and people I'd like to be good friends. This small town has so many fascinating people in it. Saw a play- the best part (besides being Shakespeare, he's always fun) was the music and Patrice's singing/guitar playing. Not being around much these days, I'd never heard her sing or play. Thumbs up.
Also, I'm feeling some closure about the past and it's nebulous merging with the present. Feels good. I feel peaceful and strong. I'm really looking forward to coming back in June. Granted the vibe will be really different: tourists, seasonal workers, the bars become meat markets, the roads become a tourist dodge-em game.... ah, but Juneau in the summertime, Southeast Alaska in the summertime... (my heart is filling with love)
My goal is to throw a kick-ass birthday party upon my return. I won't be here for 30, so I'll just have to rock 29.
Elliott the wonder cat accompanies me to Berkeley today. My cosmic soul kitty and I shall be reunited.
