Jun. 19th, 2007 04:06 pmMy mother is gone. I leave for Alaska a week from tomorrow. Cannot wait to get back to trees and water and small town life. I have wedding tunnel vision. Wait. That's not true. I actually am spending almost no time on the ceremony itself and spending all of my time trying to coordinate housing and arrivals and rentals. And still, I am so very very excited.
In other news, I have hired a new assistant. She starts next Tuesday. I plan to bring her flowers I am so excited at her competence thus far (and she hasn't even worked a day!).
And also, I still haven't heard back from the SF Symphony Chorus. So I called. The very nice manager and I chatted and he said that I am not in the initial round of rejections. Doesn't mean I'm in, but I'm still under consideration!! The manager said it'll probably be another 2 weeks until I hear for sure. Let's all cross our fingers and say our prayers that there's good news waiting for me when I return from the far north.
