This morning, for boot camp, we went on a short but sweet hike into the Oakland Hills just near Hwy. 24. The only fog was hugging the Golden Gate Bridge, the sun was rising and reflecting off of a sleepy San Francisco, the full moon was high in the sky, the air clean and surprisingly warm at that hour. Birds chirping, happy dogs prancing back and forth the trail, trees. I was so grateful to be out there. I'm loving boot camp and the extra dose of trees was a treat. Along the hike I thought of other things I am grateful for today:
*A strong body that, for the most part, has been a friend and ally, rather than an enemy or dead weight
*Delicious food in my fridge awaiting my consumption
*Opportunities abounding in the Bay Area
*A job with such flexibility and an excellent assistant so that I can take today off work and help
