(no subject)

I spent two hours last night draining the washing machine and mopping up dirty diaper laundry water. So now all the towels are wet and of course need to be laundered.

Adam left for London this morning. I have spent the whole morning cleaning up. Bennett is now parked in front of Lilo and Stitch in Spanish, so I can have time to drink tea and chill out. I have also discovered that he will eat if he's watching something. It's a little like feeding a robot, but at least he eats.... right?

What an odd few days. I am home alone with Bennett. So far so good. However, the washing machine doesn't work. This much we know. The weather was supposed to be a massive snow storm today, recovering by tomorrow. This was ideal because Adam is driving his parents here from London tomorrow. But today it has been blowing gales and raining ice. Tomorrow is now predicted to be the snow storm along with freezing fog. *I am trying not to worry about Adam on the roads.*

To cap it all off? I think the winds have negated my cell phone service. I can't get a signal.

Home alone, with a toddler, at the top of a hill, in a storm, with no phone. As long as we don't lose power we'll be alright. In good news, Bennett napped for an hour and a half, during which time I did an entire hour of yoga and met with the landlord. The house is clean. I suspect we will be watching a few movies tonight.

If you are the praying kind or the magic making kind, please send some energy my cats' way. They leave the US with my inlaws in about 7 hours. I am hoping that tomorrow at noon (UK time) I get a call from Adam telling me that they've arrived safely and won't need to be quarantined.

I will cry if they have to be quarantined. We've jumped through many hoops and paid a lot of money to avoid 6 months of quarantine. However, there is no guarantee. I miss Elliott Cat so much.
