I need Cliff Notes

Will someone please explain to me this new Sposored + level of LJ and the ads that are going to get used? I am assuming that non-LJ folk who click onto our pages get to see ads as well (which I think sucks). Are my assumptions correct? I don't have the brain energy to figure it out for myself.

i think it depends on whose journal she was looking up. like she wouldn't see ads on mine, because i'm a paid user. and she wouldn't see ads on your journal unless you became a sponsored user. but she would see ads on the lj site pages. does that make sense? so there might be an ad on the initial lj page, but there wouldn't be ads on your lj unless you became sponsored. then if i was viewing your lj, i wouldn't see the ads because i am a paid user and i won't see ads anywhere.

Oh by the way, Veronica Mars has finally gelled into a really good show. I suspected that it was just "new and developing show pains." We've just finished the episode where Logan finds out that his mother is indeed dead. I think he's perhaps the best actor on the show. He does a very good job of conveying the insecurity of high school even while being so cool to his peers. Very few actors (or adults playing teens) seem to remember that the cool they have now is not the cool even a studly 17 year old has. Anyway, thought I'd update you. Oh you who hook me on to fun shows. You do realize that you're responsible for my new tv habit don't you?

i was worried about it too, but it seems lj is handling it as best they can to balance the needed revenues from ads and the users who don't ever want to see them.

I think he's perhaps the best actor on the show.

jason dohring is a great actor, really excellent. i also think that kristen bell and enrico colantoni are awesome, but some of their best stuff is yet to come so i'll see what you say later.

I am hoping that weevil (frank capra, come on, we know he's related) and Veronica hook up. I know that probably won't ever happen, but a girl can dream. And yes, Colantoni is awesome. I remember him from that horrible Just Shoot Me show. It's nice to see him not be that other character at all. In my little head that's one important sign of being a very good actor. I really enjoy the father/daughter dynamics. Cool, but also realistic.

And yes, you deserve an award. Hopefully, it will involve pretty evening gowns, paparazzi and ugly shiny paperweights.

weevil and veronica do have great chemistry together. at some points it does just seem like veronica has ust with every male character in the show, except her dad and vp clemmons.

veronica and her dad are so great together. i never really watched just shoot me so i remember him more from galaxy quest. that's a serious character shift.*g*

that does seem to be the case. according to that chart the only way to avoid seeing ads on a sponsored journal is to be a paid or permanent user.
