Apr. 26th, 2006 02:23 pmI got to spend a chunk of this morning going over how to interview. I got to look at old resumes and cover letters, at what I liked and didn't and why I would or would not call some one in to interview. SO FUN. Really. It's like a people puzzle. Apparantly I have an excellent eye for this already.
Come July I will be officially promoted to something like Director of Human Resources and Student Services (exact title to be discussed Monday). Currently, I think I'm Manager of Student Resources. But, my supervisor is leaving next week and I am essentially merging my job and hers. It's nice to be growing into more responsibility and diversity of tasks. I'm really looking forward to hiring my own assistant (!), as well as one or two part-time evening receptionists. I will very much miss my sassy Israeli supervisor and the two amazing college assistants. Damn their graduating and moving on!
