To Whom It May Concern
Jul. 3rd, 2006 12:26 pmDear Uninspired Applicant,
As Director of Administration I am the one responsible for reading your resume and cover letter and interviewing you, should I decide that you are suited for the position. Please allow me to give you some advice.
Firstly, if I've put my name in the ad, you should use it. Do not use To Whom It May Concern. It concerns me, that's why I've got my first and last name posted. How am I supposed to believe that you have "attention to detail" when you can't copy and paste my name into your cover letter? Secondly, the internet is a wonderful tool. Let me see that you even know what my organization does. Lastly, it is important that you let me know which position you're after. Job hunting is a depressing occupation and everyone knows it. Don't make it harder on yourself than you need to.
Best wishes,
