Catch up

It's like I've been snowed in (I wish). Last week work just revved into high gear. My job is pretty mellow most of the year, but for the next 6 weeks there are four major projects that occur all at once. Unfortunately, it's also holiday time. It's hard to enjoy the holidays, or even plan for them, with this much work to be done. Plus, this last weekend was the Feri workshop - 8am-9.30pm for me since I hosted in the library space at my office and 8am-3.30pm on Sunday. I slept for 10 hours straight last night. Sweet lord.

I'd like to talk about politics. You know, that election thing that went down last week. I'd like to complain about Prop 83 (stricter restrictions on sex offenders) that passed in California. I'd like to talk about books I'm reading. I'd like to write about what I found interesting this past weekend. But, there's no time in the day. Despite the business and stress, I am consistently optimistic. I have a haircut and Il Barbiere di Siviglia with ctiee on Friday to look forward to.

Five minutes left of work and then it's off home in the rain.

i'd like to complain about it too, we were very unthrilled about that passing.
