I have been thinking about getting more physical for a long time. What do I do best? Think. I've been wanting to take dance classes for ages. I've done so once in the last 12 months. I do yoga regularly, and that's lovely. But part of me craves the athleticism and discipline and toughness that comes from being Fit. So, to give my self a kick in the pants- more motion, less thinking!- I have signed up for a women's only boot camp! I'll be doing the three days a week version, not the five days a week one. I figure gentleness is still a good thing to remember. I'm so excited! As long as I don't have to run more than a mile I should be good to go.

Really, you have?! Yeah, I need some more warrior energy in my life, something to springboard me out of my head and into my body for a while. Especially since I am about to start another graduate program and have to be all organized and time-managed and what not.

I'm still "planning" on taking some dance classes, and maybe take up kick boxing again, but I'm going to wait and see how this fitness regime sits with me.

The website claims some serious loss in body fat and pounds. Have you experienced that? My main goal is just overall fitness, I don't know if 3 days a week is going to effect dramatic change. How many days a week do you go?

i go twice a week because i don't have time for any more then that. i would prefer to be going 3 times a week, but then i run into the problem of time versus money.

i haven't experienced any major weight loss, in fact i've gained a couple of pounds, but i've lost body fat if that makes any sense. my percentage of body fat has decreased, by cardio stamina is greatly increased and all my muscles are stronger.

It does make sense: muscle weighs more than fat. In fact, since I've gotten serious about yoga I think I've gained 5-8 lbs of muscle, but I've not lost the chub. And I have been surprised at how fit regular yoga can make a person! I'm just excited to get moving and vigorous. I'm not out to lose any set amount of weight, but I don't object either. I'd rather excersize than stop eating cheese.

exactly. i'm not losing weight, i'm toning up and decreasing my percentage of body fat.

I'd rather excersize than stop eating cheese.

HAAAAA MAGDA!
That is fantastic. I have to say that that is my ultimate motivation in going to the gym. That I may continue my love affair with Mozzarella and Gouda and Cheddar. :)
Please tell us how boot camp goes!
