The weather report
Feb. 8th, 2006 10:13 amToday is the 8th of February. Here in Berkeley it is a balmy and delightful 58 degrees. It's supposed to be in the mid-60s all week. The air is fresh and crisp, and that combined with the barely budding foliage on the trees is the only reminder that it is not summer. The sun is warm and bright, the sky is clear. A more perfect day would be hard to come by. However, I suffer from cognitive dissonance: It's February and in the 60s.
This weekend Adam and I are going to LA to see friends, museums, and Adam's family. According to weather reports, Van Nuys will be about 80 and LA proper will be in the high 70s. Still February. But a mere 5 days after my trip to sunny SoCal, I will make a long trek north, to the 61st parallel, to see my sister and nieces in Anchorage, AK. Today's temp: 10 degrees. Average high expected this week: 25. Average length of visible light: 10 hours, 1 minute; average length of day: 8 hours, 26 minutes.
I AM SO EXCITED I CANNOT WAIT COLD DARK SNOW I MAY BURST FROM JOY
