the revenge of technology
Aug. 9th, 2006 11:14 amYesterday I discovered that most of the electricity is out in our apartment. Thankfully, thankfully, the fridge works. My entire freezer is jam-packed with fish and if it all started to thaw...... oh, I'd be pissed. I can shower in the dark, I can go without using the oven (can manually light the stove), I can go without tv and stereo.
I had planned a quiet evening for myself, burning CDs for my neice. She LOVES Celtic music, which means bluegrass pleases her too. She jumps up and down and squeals at the idea that she might get a fiddle this fall. So I opened up my itunes to make her some playlists. Except. My itunes is empty. Empty as if I had never touched it. Not a single song is on there. I'm sure that I did something stupid unknowningly while in Alaska and just wiped it out. I am so annoyed.
