Jan. 16th, 2007 11:37 amI have returned from Ohio. My trip only confirmed my distaste of the phrase "fly-over states." I liked flying over the United States. I got to see Las Vegas from the air, as well as the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon, as well as snow in Chicago.
The most exciting part of my visit to
hrafntinna was the raccoon that entered the house through a vent in her wall and jumped into a very large metal cage/trap. I think raccoons are cute but also smart and sneaky enough to be warily respected.
My week is insane, as is the stack of papers on my desk that I should at least look at. Thursday I have an all day yoga conference in the city and Friday I have my first voice lesson in about five years. I feel dreadfully unprepared and I don't know when I'm going to get the time to adequately prepare. Then that evening Adam and I fly to LA to visit
goddessofmercy and
howilearned. We are going to see this exhibit of icons from the Sinai at the Getty Museum.
I wish my posts weren't so utilitarian. Where are the eloquent and interesting thoughts I had on plane last night? I must have left them somewhere over Colorado.
