Nov. 8th, 2008 06:11 amNo movie last night. We weren't all that interested in anything that's out. But we did go to dinner, only we went into the city. That was fun. A nice walk, a great meal, a good night out.
During dinner I was telling him about some drama that's gone down in one of my due date communities on LJ regarding the Ferber method of sleep training - which involves settling baby down for the night, putting him to bed awake and letting him cry for longer and longer periods of time, so let him cry for 5 minutes, then pick him up, then 10 etc, etc.
Adam's response? "That's not teaching the baby to go asleep on his own. That's teaching the parents to get used to the crying."
If that isn't the most succinct summation of the Ferber method, I don't know what is.

Today we're going to an all day volleyball tournament that Adam's playing in. Hopefully I won't regret the decision to tag along. Afterward we're going to one of the team mate's family's house for hot tubbing and margaritas. Awesome!
