I have a second copy of Mary Doria Russell's The Sparrow up for grabs (see review here). I loved this book, the premise of which I summarize as "Jesuits in space."

Oooh, The Sparrow is a great book, I just re-read it this summer. I have some issues with Russell's blatant self-insertion, but there's almost nothing you could do to spoil the concept of first contact made by a bunch of wisecracking Jesuits!
