OMG wow. So are you pumping EBM so that your hubby can feed him? We started that pretty early with Indra so I could go to yoga. I am SO happy he takes a bottle because Niyama wouldn't. At all. Ever. It made things quite difficult.
Yes. I do pump so I can go out and do things, like go to yoga or to the opera. But, we also give B a nightly feeding of formula. When we left the hospital the doctors wanted us to supplement every feeding with formula. Which I was strongly against. The first few weeks B was home he failed to gain weight, so we capitulated and started giving one block of feeding as formula. This has worked out well for us, since Adam has taken the 9pm-12 block. Adam loves his feeding time with B and I get to go to bed. B is now taking 8-10oz in that time. I do all other feedings, feeding on demand.
My mother said that neither I or my sister would tolerate pacifiers or bottles at all. I can't imagine the difficulty!
