The Economist has a great map inviting the world to vote for our president. Check it out.

Judging by the Economist poll, the world prefers Obama! And the Economist isn't known for being particularly liberal. I wonder what will happen if McCain gets voted in? *shudders to think*

I think one of the reasons is that when we vote in leaders, while the primary individual (Prime Minister, Chancellor, President etc.) is important, the party behind them is even more so.
While McCain may seem to have a great deal of relevant experience and does on occasion come across with some charisma, he's still stuck with the Republican party as his backing band, not to mention 'Hockey-Mom' Barbie.

Even if it were Josiah Bartlet in McCain's place, we'd still vote for the Democrat.

Oh my gosh, JOSIAH BARTLETT. Read this (http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=980DE2D61E30F932A1575AC0A96E9C8B63). If you love West Wing, you will love this!

btw, when the west wing was on, a significant number of americans thought Josiah Bartlett was the president...so we can be pretty clueless about our OWN leader. Scarey!
