I finished that paper. I have gone grocery shopping. I am beginning to tackle the list of tasks I have set for myself. I have quit reading a boring book (The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins) and begun a fun one instead (Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain). Time passes so quickly, the weeks just fly by, and there is so much to do.

And I am still processing the disappointments of my trip home. I'm dreaming about it, A LOT. Strange, disturbing dreams, about things to let go of and wounds that need to be healed, missing limbs (I interpret that one to be my dad who didn't engage at all while we were there) and overflowing soapy coffin freight trains..... But I feel ready to move on.

I even feel ready to tackle singing again. The cold I developed in Juneau has left me with no top notes of any kind, but I have a husky alto/smokey jazz singer voice going on.

I am looking forward to making fajitas for dinner tonight. I want wine. I always do.
