I have spent probably a grand total of two weeks in LA during my life time: a few days at Disneyland at 13, a week in South Central LA doing stupid church stuff at 19, and also at 19 a day in Pasadena visiting a dying relative. So. Adam and I are planning a small trip there sometime in early July. I have a friend who lives there and I would like to see the LA that he is so passionate about. Adam has some very good friends who also seem to love living there. Adam wants me to see LA, to get over my stereotypes and fears of LA, maybe to consider moving there (oh that is too much to consider at this point).

I am afraid of LA. It's large; greater LA only a few years ago had more people than all of Australia. The scary tv world is there. The place is riddled with actor wannabes and screenwriter and director and film and popstar etc etc wannabes (um, no offence meant to those who act, write, sing etc. Mmmmmm my foot tastes good). LA is flat (how big are those mountains?) and smoggy and virtually treeless. Yup. A scary place.

But. People love it. So, how about writing me and telling me what you love or have loved about LA, great experiences you've had there, what I should do while I'm there. Basically, give me reasons not to cringe at the thought of spending time in LA.

Isn't San Diego only 2 hours from LA? Adam has some stuff he needs to attend to there and I was thinking our trip might be a good time to get to SD to deal with it. If that happens..... maybe I'd go with..... I'll keep you posted! I'd need some solid distraction while he took care of business.
