Couple's Retreat is an AWFUL movie. Do not watch, even if you're looking for something light and funny. It's not funny. Just bad. Not even bad funny.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is good fun.

Pizza, wine, and brownies cannot be beat for a lazy weekend meal.

I'm finally reading Ronald Hutton's Triumph of the Moon and it is blowing my mind.

I can't get enough of Sarah Haskins. And I watched this 18 minute Jamie Oliver talk that was great. Jamie Oliver is hot, as well as a bit of a twat, and also right on about food.

My son is so fantastic I can hardly stand it.

Spring is just around the corner.

Watching these clips makes me SO HAPPY I don't have a television anymore. I can't believe people creaite this stuff. Part of me is fascinated like a train wreck, but a part of me dies inside as well.

Right on.
I love her commentary, it's brilliant, but really just so obvious, like how could anyone NOT agree with her.

It was soooooo bad. The plotting and pacing. How did the black guy all of a sudden afford to go to French Polynesia if the week before he needed a co-signer on a motor-cycle? Just all sorts of weak details like that. The women all hot, the men are schlubs (but I expected that). I didn't for a second buy Sex in the City lady and Jon Favreau's relationship (if they both want to screw around why not just get divorced?? What were their stakes? Not established.)

Yeah.... I'm a load of fun, aren't I? This is what I get for being hypercritical and having several friends in the movie/film industry (a screenwriter, a couple actors, a photographer, and some animators).

haha, maybe it was my pregnancy hormones making me laugh like a mad women then. Although, Adam found it funny too :P

I was under the impression that the one couple paid for everyone, as they said that they couldn't afford to go alone but could afford the group package. I thought maybe that was kinda the spin on how they all decided to go. If any of my friends asked me to do something like that, I'd be all for it but damn if we have the money!

I'm also a huge Vince Vaughn fan so maybe I enjoyed it purely for him :)

Pizza, wine, and brownies...sounds totally perfect. We make our own pizza...and it is GOOD. (Chris does the dough, I do everything else).

I have Jamie Oliver's COOK book - it's really informative and taught me a lot.

I think he's great. His cookbooks are good. I have several of his recipes in steady rotation. Mmmmm.... food.

I have to admit that pizza night here involves frozen store brand pizza. But it's GOOD. Best frozen pizza ever. And it's like 3 pounds for two. Win!
