Feb. 22nd, 2004 11:20 amI don't feel like going to rehearsal this afternoon. I don't want to try and not look bleary and puffy. I don't want to be talkative. I don't think I will have to be though. Last week I was quite impressed with the professionalism of the chorus master. He got straight to business, but was casual about it. A very hard mix to get right. Plus, all of the singers are either music students currently or have degrees, so they all get the work ethic. I guess I just don't want to move from my window seat. Yesterday was exhausting. I want to sit and read for my thesis and work on Latin (I can't believe I just said that) and eat sushi. Tonight is supposed to be a double date to hear a bluegrass band. Yay! Except, I want to sit on my window seat and read. Sigh. But double dating these days is fun. Doesn't really feel like "Dating", just going out together. Especially now that the Adams are getting to be good friends. My other Adam is dating a super girl. She and I have a very significant past experience in common. It's been fascinating, and a bit unnerving as well, observing heterosexual dating dynamics. My three years with C. certainly changed the way I see the world in a lot of ways. And only for the better methinks.
Oooo, by the way Bollywood is wacky wild fun. It's all shot like an MTV video. The songs are catchy. Every living creature is stunning (and Indians don't like their women anorexic thin! Yay!). And the films are 3 1/2 hours long. Whew. A good time. I recommend tasty Indian food to go with it.
