Too early to tell

I woke up this morning with the thought that I might be having twins.

There is no rational basis to this idea, other than my belly is looks round for so early on in the pregnancy. I could just be paranoid about not being able to fit into any of my pants at only 6 weeks. However, Adam and my mother immediately intuited (AKA pulled out of their asses) that it's a boy, and my sister, whose track record at this is 100%, guessed it's a girl. Sis said that I would 'just know' but I've been nothing but ambivalent. Maybe I'm having a boy and a girl. That would be doubly exhausting, but awesome.

I totally vote boy/girl twins. I am far more excited about this idea than about just having a boy. Don't know why, don't want to talk about this, just am.

No, but my mother has always said she expected my sister or myself to have a set. Why, I have no idea. I shall have to ask her.

Who knows? I don't have my first doctor's appt until after Thanksgiving. They wanted me to be in my second month before they saw me. I'm sure I'll learn more then.

Turns out my mother's granddad (my great granddad) had twins with his second wife, and my mother's uncle (the son of the aforementioned) had a set of twins that died shortly after birth. Which explains her mumblings that twins are due. We shall see.

but I've always like the idea of twins, especially boy/girl fraternals. This is probably because I was obsessed with "Escape from Witch Mountain" when younger. Tony and Tia Malone Whiting-Blodgett anyone?

Ha! Last names would indeed be tricky, since we have planned to give girls my last name and boys his. So the kids would be twins but with different last names! Totally cool.

But we'll see. I could just be getting fat.

aye! at least if that is what you want.*g* i don't go in for all that "just knowing" stuff. some people might, other people don't, and since it's really only a 50-50 chance, some people just get lucky.
