I really, really miss my yoga practice. This left hip "injury" has put me out of commission. I limp around. And I can't take pain killers. I call bullshit on this.
Have you tried a gentle/restorative yoga routine? What about using props/blocks to help during your practice? I have a book that is specifically geared toward that kind of thing :) Let me know if you are interested. There are a lot of 100% supported asanas that are still very energizing.
Even walking is a pain. I was doing gentle yoga! My yoga practice nowis basically: tadasana, arm stretches, uttanasana, down dog, cat-cow. I think I just need to lay off. I've noticed it getting slightly better since cutting out all activity of any kind. It's hard, because I really need to mooooove. Once it's healed (please! soon!) I will go back to a gentle yoga routine.
