So.... I didn't spend the night at the hospital. It was good to sleep in my own bed. I woke up feeling like myself. Bennett's feeding tube did its job and he was all revived and looking great this morning when I arrived. He's still working on getting rid of the jaundice and he's feeding well. It's hard though, because I can't be with him all the time to be there at the exact times he's hungry. Well, I'm allowed to be there 24/7 but it's awkward and cramped and frankly, hard to be around the other sickly babies. A new baby got moved to the space next to Bennett and the baby is quite deformed. :( It's hard to be around all the beeping and doctor speak.

All in all things are well. But I'm still sore and tired.

And I just want my baby. Oh my goodness, I just want my baby.

I'm so glad you got some rest and Benn is responding well to the feeding. You are amazing. Hang in there! xoxo Twig

I think jaundice goes away pretty quickly, though it feels like forever. Is he under the blue disco light to help break up the bilirubin?

Hang in there x 2. We're all rooting for you!

He's got this neat little light paddle that goes up his shirt against his back. It's good because we can feed him and hold him and he still gets the light. However, it's a huge tube that powers the thing and all the cords that come out from the bottom of his blanket are so awkward.

I'm hoping the jaundice leaves just as quickly as it came.

I still can't believe that Bennett is here. I can't imagine how hard it is to not have him with you 24/7 but he'll be home soon, and I think it was time for him to come, because he did so naturally. You are doing such a great job.

You know, I think the same thing too. That because there weren't any problems, in either pregnancy nor the delivery, that he really just wanted to be here. He is really strong. But it's just really hard to have a baby, but not HAVE the baby.

I simply cannot imagine the longing, because I know the strength of it even when I'm near my son.
But, I do know you know how to radiate that love to him no matter where you are and that is all he needs.
Ditto to daniland's comment - call if you need anything!
