Me = maybe 4 hours of sleep, not consecutive.

Does it matter? No! The joy of having little B next to me in bed was overwhelmingly sweet. Adam was a champ - comforting him and supporting me during feeds and helping with diaper changes. Squirmy baby + dark + getting the hang of cloth diapers = not terribly efficient. But cloth, even when poorly put on, is still mighty effective. I am impressed. Sadly, his little butt is slightly too large for premie prefolds but slightly too small for the next size up. But we're making do.

I suspect that I will be writing mostly about baby related stuff for a while, seeing as how I am All About The Baby these days. If you want to take me off your friends list, now is a good time and I won't be offended.

I got used to changing it by a nightlight etc... it just takes a bit of practice. You'll get there ;)

Hello! Yes, it's just the most wonderful. Even having him cry and fussy. He's mine! I can't believe I *built* him. Whoa.

Heck no I'm not taking you off, this is when things get interesting!

We're planning on cloth diapering too, so I'm anxious to hear about your adventures.

pfft, take you off my list? Baby ate your brain.

I have a lamp with low watts (can't remember exact wattage) on the shelving above my bed, so I can just reach up and turn it on, but it won't be shockingly bright for Sophia or I.

LUCKY you! I got maybe three hours of sleep and I can't even blame it on a baby....yet.

Hi, saw your post in preemies, and replied, but deleted it by accident because I am a klutz at livejournal. Just wanted to say, I went through the NICU thing with my son in March, and reading your journal made me cry. I am so happy for you that your baby is home, and wish you all the best in getting to know him without having medical personnel, wires, tubes or loud beeping noises get in the way.

Hi! We have a friend in common. What a small world! Thank you for your well wishes. Benn seems to be doing well. Fussy at night, but a dream during the day - sigh. Isn't that always the case?

I hope your little one is doing well and thriving outside the NICU. What a trip. I had never been in the hospital before giving birth and it's weird to think that I've just spent most of a month in one.
