Bennett is teething. This plus the huge growth and developmental spurt have made naps and going down for bed a right bitch. I am constantly stressed and tired and feel like my life is fraying at the edges. The dishes have spilled over the sink and are taking up valuable counter space. At least the laundry is done. Adam lost his contact lens last night so in helping him find it (which we did) I got to discover just how filthy our bathroom is. SIGH.

I don't want to do anything about any of it. Bennett is all about his mama these days, which is beautiful but exhausting. Work has also been stupid. And I have to work on Sunday up in Santa Rosa. GAH.

I am full of whine. Which is close to win, I guess.

We keep wondering if our boys are teething, too, but how would we know? That is, how do you know B is?

Well, the drool picked up about a month ago and is flowing nonstop now. He will grind and furiously rub his fist against his gums. He's just started tugging on his ears. He's fussy and hates sleeping. And what really convinced me was when a crying fit stopped as soon as the frozen teething thing was put in his mouth.

I can't feel any teeth breaking through, but all of these behaviours are classic indicators (from what I've read).

Funny thing with ours - they drool a little and seemingly can't be soothed sometimes, but they don't have control of their hands yet to use as teethers. We're afraid of getting to the teething stage without those portable binkies in full force.

The only thing that helps Aidan when he's teething- besides his amber teething necklace (ours is from Nova Natural online)- is a dose of Tylenol. I know it's not homeopathic, but we've tried EVERYTHING, and Tylenol's been the only thing's that worked.

I just ordered one of those amber necklaces. Adam thinks it's fruity and weird, and so do I, I guess, but I figure if it works I want it!

Have you noticed a real improvement with the amber?

We got him the amber necklace for Christmas, and he has literally worn it nonstop 24/7 since then. We only had to medicate him for teething at naptime/night, for his molars, and now for his canines (he's literally cutting all 4 canines at once). Other than that, he's good to go.

The Homeopathic remedies really worked for us - like Hyland's tablets. That and non-stop nursing.

Its time for A. to take a turn at Mr. Clean and you to relax in your nursing chair with some good books and movies!
