Bennett's first birthday

I want a robot theme for B's party. Basically, I want cute orange plates and cups with robots on them. That's all I want to do. I'm lazy and we're having a BBQ. B won't care and neither will all the adults. But a loose theme would be fun. The evite (did I mention lazy and low on funds?) was a cute orange robot. But I cannot for the life of me find plates and cups with robots on them other than Wall*E, and as much as I loved that film, I ain't shilling for Disney. Not yet anyway.

I don't want to have to get all crafty for this. Grr. Pirates, ninjas, all the other cool themes have abundant disposable stuff, but not robots. Who knew I was so hip and cutting edge?

Have you checked ebay? Just a thought, there always seems to be tonnes of disposable party stuff on there.

it might be easier to get a robot shaped cake (or make one yourself) than to find perfect plates.

Wow! Look at you! I have seen melamine plates, but I don't want to purchase 28 of them! Those paper plates are perfect but they're from the UK and the party is Sun. It's no biggie. We don't need to be super matchy or themed.

Now I need to make a robot icon!

SCHLOCK? Did you even watch the first 45 minutes? The second half of the film, whatever. But the first half is some of the best film making ever, not to mention the most beautiful animation.

I know. But I don't have enough dishes for a party. If I can't find some good robot stuff I'm going to use the plates I'm picking up from goodwill today for a surprise party we're throwing for our boss tonight.
