Just a general hello

While walking or cooking dinner or trying to fall asleep I keep thinking about letters/emails I want to write to people or posts I want to post. But when I get to the computer (always at one of the two libraries here) I am too uninspired or needing to get a move on with the errands. Public computers do not encourage long winded writing. And there is no such thing as a cafe with wireless here.

I have a long post in me about Things That Are Different Here. Most of these different things I quite like, but there is still a lot of adjustment needed.

I am checking in on my friends page and my email everyday. I'm not responding as much as I'd like.

A comment on the equinox: I am so happy that we were 'settled' in our new home for the equinox. It feels good and right to be here. We have harvested what we put in motion this year. Nine months ago, in the middle of January, Adam looked at me and said 'Let's move to Wales.' And here we are. THAT is powerful magic right there!

I didn't make this connection before but you are now the second person on my flist who has moved to Wales from the US to do their PHD (diff subject though, I think hers is something to do with welsh medieval literature?). She's in Aberystwyth.

Me too! I think when you get a hair-brained, crazy-ass idea you just have to go for it. Too much stalling or overthinking (as is my usual plan) will only kill the inspiration. There are certainly things we didn't think of, but over all: WORTH IT.
