Year End meme

New Year meme - I've cut out a lot of the dumb or terribly redundant questions, and
1. Was 2009 a good year for you? Why?? Amazing. Life changing. Two weeks into 2009 Adam turned to me and said "Let's move to Wales." 9 months later we did.
2. What was your favorite moment of the year? So many to choose from! Being in Daylesford, Australia with Adam, eating delicious food, deciding to move to Wales has to be at the top.
3. What was your least favorite moment of the year? I can't think of one, so maybe I've blocked it. ETA: What the hell am I thinking??! Bennett and his teeth + my bike. Most awful event of the year, hands down.
4. Where were you when 2009 began? In rural Australia, with all of my family.
6. Where will you be when 2009 ends? In rural Wales with Adam, B and my inlaws!
8. Did you keep your New Year's Resolutions of 2009? I don't think I made any.
9. Do you have (a) New Year's Resolution(s) for 2010? I don't make any, but I do make a collage of my intentions for the coming year. I plan to do the same thing this year.
10. Did you fall in love in 2009? Yes, with Wales.
15. Did you break up with anyone in 2009? Yes, with California, the United States and Christianity.
16. Did you make any new friends in 2009? Yes! Although, at this point most of the new friends are still in the getting-to-know-you stage. I still don't know who will become Friends and who will be merely friendly acquaintances.
17. Who are your favorite new friends? Well, there are many wonderful new kidlets in the area that I find delightful! I have also made friends with ham.
19. Did you travel outside of your country of residence in 2009? Yes. Australia and the UK.
20. How many different states / provinces did you travel to in 2009? California, Alaska and Washington. It was a busy year.
21. Did you lose anybody close to you in 2009? No, thank god. Although, my grandmother in Australia is rapidly losing her mind thanks to Alzheimer's.
22. Did you miss anybody in the past year? Yes, my sis and her girls. MM. Twig.
hrafntinna and
alizarin71. My California friends. And just yesterday I was sad for a friend who is no longer a friend.
23. What was your favorite movie that you saw in 2009? Let the Right One In.
24. What was your favorite song from 2009? Bad Romance Lady Gaga
25. What was your favorite record from 2009? William Fitzsimmons, The Corner Laughers, and Florence and the Machine. I'm crap with new music and albums and whatnot these years.
26. How many concerts did you see in 2009? I think only William Fitzsimmons.
36. How much money did you spend in 2009? A LOT. All of our savings. And then some.
37. What was your proudest moment of 2009? Making it in Wales. When my adviser said that her soon-to-be new ass kicking Mariologist/feminist theologian colleague is interested in me transferring to my adviser's new school.
39. If you could go back in time to any moment of 2009 and change something, what would it be? Understanding how the airvents work here and avoid the mold problem all together.
40. What are your plans for 2010? Keep working on my academic stuff. Keep doing what I'm doing -because it seems to be working! See more of this great country. Make some friends. Get pregnant.
