Because the internet sucks my life force

And the fire is so warm...
1. Are you a vegetarian? Vegan?:
I try to be conscious about where my meat comes from, if I eat it. Local, sustainable, ethical, etc. Around here most lamb meets that category. The vast majority of Welsh meat is grass fed too, which is fantastic. But for Lent/Spring Cleaning I like to go vegan. However, breastfeeding doesn't make that possible.
2. What's your favorite food?:
I love food in general, but favorites are mac n cheese, cheese period, liquor (I know, I know). How I am not overweight I'll never know.
3. White bread or whole wheat?: Whole wheat
4. What's for breakfast?:
black tea with milk and sugar, and one of three things: toast with marmalade, toast with a fried egg, or oatmeal with milk and honey
5. You're making a sandwich. What's in it?: Grilled cheese. Or, I ask Adam for one of his turkey sliders (red onion, turkey, mayo, cheese, cranberry sauce, all lightly grilled on a bun)
6. What's on your pizza?: Veggie. Olives, peppers, mushrooms, garlic.
7. Coffee, tea, milk, or soda?: No soda. Occasionally coffee, milk IN things, almost never straight. Tea - all kinds. And water.
8. Dark, milk, or white chocolate?: Right now I'm loving Cadbury's Bourneville dark choc - it's a little sweet but rich. Perfect.
9. Teetotal, beer, wine, or hard liquor?: I love wine. I love liquor. Scotch - yes please! Gin and tonics. Yum.
10. Does cilantro taste like citrus, or like soap?: Cilantro is delicious.
11. Is chorizo the greatest thing ever or is it totally disgusting?: I'm not sure I've had chorizo... But I bet it's great!
12. Do you use garlic like a vegetable or like a spice?: Garlic is like salt. Raw, roasted, sauteed - yes.
13. Onions: Yup. I'll do red onions raw.
14. Does broccoli taste sweet or bitter?: It's only bitter if burnt.
15. How do you feel about fish?: I feel awesome about fish.
16. How about sushi?: Yes please! There is no sushi in Lampeter. :(
17. Fave ethnic cuisine?: Italian and Mexican, followed by sushi/Japanese.
18. What's your favorite fruit?: I am not a sweet person so I forget to eat fruit. Apples are good. I like pineapple. I like fruit, I just don't reach for it.
19. Cheese - thumbs up or thumbs down? I refuse to live in a world with out cheese.
20. Finally, favorite dessert?: Again, not a sweets person, but I do love a well made dessert. This is something that I will for sure skip unless it's awesome. I like moist. I like creamy. Pannacotta is excellent. So is trifle.

Date: 2010-01-06 01:59 pm (UTC)I'm one of the people for whom it tastes like soap. I heard that it was a genetic thing. It's a bit of a problem since it's at least the garnish for all the kinds of food I like.

Date: 2010-01-06 04:18 pm (UTC)When I was pregnant and we were in Mexico we spent a lot of time eating at this little corner shop that made sandwiches with everything in them. I was OBVIOUSLY pregnant- how else would I have craved a pork, chorizo, pineapple, cotija, crema, and cabbage sandwich every day? Ugh, I do NOT eat like that.
