theatokosYay! I have a cool new friend AND she's a Mary scholar (iconography). She's been to Turkey, Ephesus, where Mary's house is reputed to be. Woohoo! We even have a coffee/study date with another mutual friend for Wed.
The philosophy also wasn't over my head. The speaker was a libertarian and my Alaska upbringing served me well. I even discussed justice and dignity and the failure of the concept of "the example" in our legal system with a German Dominican priest.
And the cheese was good. I got left overs.
