I was so exhausted yesterday. I didn't do any cleaning. Nothing. In fact, last night's dinner is still out on the stove. I decided to go to bed with Bennett. We were in jammies at 7, reading stories in bed at 7.30, lights out and tussling at 8.00 and both of us passed out at 8.30. I feared that I would wake up three hours later ready to go, but no. I woke at 3.30 and laid awake for about 30 minutes and then.... back to sleep til 7 and I STILL lounged in bed for another hour while Bennett slept.

I had interesting dreams about 'spirit waters' - huge baths that allowed you to see spirits of people, both dead and alive.

And now I feel GOOD. On today's agenda: take B to the clinic to get a rash sorted, then Family Centre for a play, then home to CLEAN.

The only downer is it's raining hard and the stroller with the rain cover is broken. The little stroller is too tiny to fit the cover and B doesn't have a raincoat. Awesome.

Impromptu raincoat using a largish garbage bag (cut a hole for the arms & head)? Won't protect the stroller but B should stay pretty dry.

Or attach the cover onto the little stroller with pegs?

No the the big stroller cover is WAY too big. And.... ha! Turns out I need more garbage bags! Good to know. It was fine. A wool sweater is a good makeshift rain coat and thankfully it's warm. Just wet.

Still. I will be purchasing a rain coat for him this week.

I just bought ninja one on Saturday and the universe rewarded me with pouring rain on Monday for the walk home from daycare. Stupid universe.
