Wandering around a bookstore yesterday evening I discovered that Anne Carson has recently put out her first collection in five years. I love Anne Carson. Her odd poetry is so readable, so moving, so steeped in classics. I want this book. Especially as the subtitle is "Poetry, Essays, Opera."

I am also thinking of purchasing a cd or two by the Innocence Mission. Just the band name alone sounds like something I'd like in my life these days.
